The Chaparrals baseball team posted 69 total runs scored, 64 hits, 60 RBI and nine homeruns in last weekend's series sweep versus Clarendon College in Clarendon, TX. MC is currently 25-8 in 2024, including 13-3 in the WJCAC. Midland College is tied for first place in the conference standings with New Mexico Junior College. Scores from the Clarendon College series were 15-10 (7 innings), 18-3 (5 innings), 24-3 (5 innings) and 12-11 in nine innings.

Midland College pitchers Tyler Boudreau (7-0), Holt Gibson (3-3), Daniel Bass (3-4) and Carson Laws (4-1) each picked up wins in the four contests. Chap shortstop Jake Martinez led the MC hit parade going 9-17 at the plate, including nine RBI and two homeruns. Justin Rumfield, Parker Ibrahimi, Matt Guthmiller and Xavier Melendez each contributed to the teams offensive punch.
