Chaparrals Baseball to Play Home Opening Series Versus Ranger College on Friday and Saturday at Christensen

The Midland College Chaparrals baseball team, 3-0 this season, will open the home portion of the season with a three game series versus Ranger College.

Freshman Stevyn Andrachick leads Midland College with a .375 batting average through three games.

The MC Chaparrals baseball team, fresh off their three-game season opening sweep of Alvin Community College, will make their 2025 home debut in a Friday double-header versus Ranger College. Friday's double-dip is scheduled for a noon first pitch. MC and RC will also play a single game on Saturday also beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Midland College, 3-0 on the season, opened the regular season versus the Alvin CC Dolphins in San Antonio at the UTSA Roadrunner ballpark. The Chaparrals defeated the Dolphins 6-1 on Saturday, followed by wins of 5-4 and 8-3 on Saturday. Ranger College will enter the series with a 3-0 record after sweeping NJCAA Division III, Dallas College-Brookhaven.

The Chaps will likely start sophomores Jacob Kuhn (Friday) and Ryan Marton (Saturday) along with freshman Logan Flores (Saturday). Offensively the Chaps are expected to see strong performances by Stevyn Andrachick, Josh Wulfert, Dylon Myrow, Parker Ibrahimi and AJ Velarde.
