Midland College Baseball Improves to 6-0 with Sweep of Ranger College

The Midland College baseball team improved to 6-0 on the season with a sweep of fellow NJCAA Region 5 member, Ranger College, last weekend in Midland. The Chaparrals displayed impressive offensive abilities, pounding out a combined 43 runs and 42 hits in the three game series with the Rangers.
MC's Jacob Kuhn took the win in game one, a 14-2 (five inning run rule) victory. Freshman pitcher Logan Flores picked up his first win of the season, going five innings, in the Chaps 11-1 win. Midland College won game three by a score of 18-10 with Keller Linderman picking up the win on the mound after replacing Ryan Marton. Aiden Cline recorded the save in game three.

Midland College is scheduled to take on Trinidad State College in a three-game series at Christensen Stadium (February 7-8). The Chaparrals and Trojans will play a double-header on Friday beginning at noon. On Saturday the teams will square off in a single game beginning at noon.
