MC Chaps Baseball Improves to 9-0 with Three-Game Sweep of Trinidad State College

The Midland College baseball team will look to extend their flawless start to the 2025 season when they take on Luna Community College and Seward County Community College on Friday and Saturday at Christensen Stadium. MC enters the weekend with a 9-0 record, including last week's three-game sweep versus Trinidad State College (CO).
The Chaps will play Luna Community College (NM) on Friday in a noon double-header. Then on Saturday, the Chaps will play two versus The Seward County Community College Saints (KS). That double-dip is scheduled for a noon first pitch.
Chaparrals freshmen Josh Wulfert and Dylon Myrow are hitting at a torrid pace, nine games into their first college baseball seasons. Wulfert is a redshirt freshman outfielder from Farmington, NM while Myrow is a true freshman outfielder/infielder from Fort Worth. Wulfert, the reigning WJCAC Co-Player of the Week (along with MC pitcher Jacob Kuhn), is leading the Chaparrals with a .567 batting average. Myrow is hitting .536 and has displayed exceptional defensive prowess, primarily as a centerfielder.
The Chaps are currently ranked #2 nationally with a team batting average of .407 and 8th nationally in 39 extra base hits. The Luna CC Rough Riders will enter the weekend 2-4 on the season with a .301 team batting average. Seward County CC is currently 3-3 this season with a .272 batting average.
