#3 Midland College Chaps Host #10 Odessa College Wranglers in Key WJCAC Contest
Chaps and Wranglers square-off in a contest between to NJCAA Top 10 programs.

In what promises to be the best NJCAA men's basketball contest of the season, the #10 Odessa College Wranglers will travel to Midland for a WJCAC rivarly game against the #3 Midland College Chaparrals. Monday's game will also be "Midland College Green Out Night" at the Chaparral Center where fans are encouraged to wear green in support of the Lady Chaps and Chaparrals basketball teams.
Fans can expect a game between two of the nation's best teams, with several of the NJCAA's most talented players on display. Odessa College comes in at 13-2 this season, including 1-0 in conference. Odessa College defeated #15 South Plains College (97-85) in the conference opening game on Monday, January 5th in Odessa. OC had an open date on Thursday.

Midland College is, thus far, undefeated on the season at 16-0, including 2-0 in the WJCAC. Midland College's two WJCAC wins came against Clarendon College (101-61) on Monday and versus #15 South Plains College (105-84) on Thursday night at the Chaparral Center.
The Wranglers are riding a five-game win streak dating back to a November 28th loss to Collin County Community College. OC averages 82.3 points per game, compared to MC's 91.0 ppg average. The Wranglers shoot 44.6% from the floor and 30.9% from "three". OC also shoots 66.7% from the free-throw line and average 44.3 rebounds and 16.7 assists per game. Midland College shoots at a 52.5% clip from the floor and 36.6% from the three-point arc. The Chaparrals shoot 72% from the charity stripe and average 36.3 rebounds and 18.3 assists per contest.
Odessa College is led by Ahmere Carson, Jaiden Reynolds and Ziyade Ndancky who post 11.6, 11.4 and 11.1 points per game respectively. Midland College's offensive attack is equally balanced with Darius Carr, Antoine Bo Hurns, Yeison Liberato and Cayden Reed leading the Chaparrals at 17.7, 14.3, 10.6 and 9.0 points per game.
