With three games left to play in the 2026 WJCAC season, the Midland College Chaparrals hosts the New Mexico Junior College Thunderbirds in a Monday night contest with post-season implications for both teams. NMJC, 22-4 overall and 9-3 in the WJCAC holds a slim 1/2 game lead over the Chaparrals who will enter tonight's games with records of 23-4 and 9-4.
NMJC is ranked 15th, while Midland College comes in ranked 9th in the most recent NJCAA Men's Division I Basketball poll (February 23, 2026).
