GOLF: Chaps finish tournament tied with OC for first
The No. 5-ranked Midland College golf team tied rival Odessa College for first place at the Herb Wimberly Junior College Invitational at New Mexico State University on Tuesday.

LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO - The Chaparrals had an 11-shot lead after the first two rounds but struggled with a 303 on Tuesday.
MC was led Vincent Laplante, who finished fourth in the medalist standings with a 69-70-77—216, Max Cavazos finished in a tie for fifth with a 70-74-73—217, and Alfie Robinson, who was playing as an individual for MC finished tied for 10th with a 74-75-71—220.
Ethan Korack, of Odessa College, won the medalist title with a 69-71-71—211.
