Midland College Golf Moves Into a Tie for First Place at the NJCAA National Tournament Headed Into Friday's Final Round

The Midland College golf team surged from T-6th to T-1st headed into Friday's final round at the NJCAA Men's Division I National Golf Tournament. The Chaparrals posted the tournament's lowest team score in Thursday's third round, recording a 275 to move into a three-way tie for first place, along with Odessa College and New Mexico Junior College, with 18 holes remaining in the event.
Chaparrals Benjamin Lund-Ravn, Oscar Holm Bredkjaer and Tom Watson are currently tied for seventh place in the individual player standings. MC, OC and NMJC each at one under, 851, are paired together for the final round which promises to be a thriller for golf fans at the Rockwind Community Links Course in Hobbs, NM. The National Tournament is being hosted by NMJC and the Rockwinds course is considered to be the Thunderbirds' home course.
Fellow Chaparrals Logan Zurn and Thomas Vestergaard are currently T-57th and T-60th in the individual standings.
Midland College, Odessa College and New Mexico Junior College will be the final teams to tee off on Friday (1:12 p.m. Mountain Time).
