Chaparrals Lead National Tournament Headed into Friday's Final Round
The Midland College golf team increased their lead to nine strokes after recording a three-round team score of 858 (-6), nine strokes in front of Odessa College and 15 strokes ahead of third place Hutchinson Community College. In the individual standings Midland College's Harrison Sewell sits in a tie for 4th place in the individual standings after 54 holes at 212 (-4). MC's Scott Spark is currently in a tie for 9th place at one under 215.

The upstart Midland College Chaparrals increased their lead in the 2025 Men's Division I National Golf Tournament after posting an even par 288 in Thursday's third round. The Chaps shot scores of 284-286-288--858 (-6) after 54 holes with one round remaining on Friday. Odessa College trails the Chaparrals by nine strokes headed into the final 18 holes of the tournament.
Credit goes to the national pollsters with the top three places being held by the nations top three ranked teams in order of their final season poll rankings. #1 Midland College, #2 Odessa College and #3 Hutchinson Community College are currently in first, second and third place in the event.

Odessa College's Adam Bresnu and Hutchinson Community College's Charlie Box are tied for the lead in the individual standings with a three round scores of 210 (-6). Midland College freshman Harrison Sewell is tied for 4th place after posting scores of 71-69-72--212 (-4). MC teammate Scott Spark is tied for 9th place with a three round total of one under par 215 while Chaps freshman Reuben Harvey sits in a tie for 14th with a 54 hole score of one over par 217.
Midland College sophomore Bryce Womack shot a highly respectable 218 (+2) and is tied for 20th place individually. Chaparrals freshman Hunter Welch is currently tied for 24th place with a score of three over par 219. Each member of the MC team is within nine strokes of the lead in the individual medalist race.
