#1 Chaparrals Win Season Opening Tournament at Andrews
The Chaparrals were led by sophomore returnees Reuben Harvey and Scott Spark along with freshman Kalle Blixt who posted scores of 136,137 and 138.

The Midland College Chaparrals golf team got off to a solid start in winning the Andrews County Golf Club Collegiate Amateur Invitational. The event was played at the Andrews County Golf Club in Andrews, TX. Joining the Chaps were several NJCAA ranked teams, including: Odessa College, New Mexico Junior College, New Mexico Junior College, McLennan Community College and the Midland College Chaparrals. NAIA member Wayland Baptist University rounded out the six team field.
MC sophomores Reuben Harvey and Scott Spark finished tied for third and tied for seventh, respectively with scores of 136 (-8) and 137 (-7). MC freshmen Kalle Blixt and Oskar Falshoj finished in a tie for 11th place followed by returnee Hunter Welch who finished in 16th place.
