Midland College Softball Takes on Frank Phillips College in WJCAC Series at Borger
The Midland College softball team returned to WJCAC play after an open week, Easter weekend, from competition.

After taking the Easter weekend off due to a scheduled open date, the Midland College softball team packed their bags for a trip to Borger (TX) and a four-game WJCAC series versus the Frank Phillips College Plainsmen. The Lady Chaps enter the weekend with a season record of 24-4, which includes 4-0 in conference. Frank Phillips College for their part are 18-22 overall and 5-3 in the WJCAC.
The Midland College at Frank Phillips College series was moved up a day to Thursday-Friday due to forecasted heavy rains throughout west Texas, including the panhandle beginning on Friday night.
The Lady Chaps and Plainsmen played a non-conference double-header on Saturday, March 21st in Midland with MC pounding the Plainsmen 22-0 in the first game. Midland College lost the second game by a score of 4-2. The 4-2 loss to FPC was the last loss of the season, thus far, for MC.
Midland College will play four games at Frank Phillips followed by a double-header at Wayland Baptist University in Plainview on Tuesday, April 14th at 1:00 p.m. The Lady Chaps will play their next WJCAC series beginning on Friday, April 17th versus Howard College in a 1:00 p.m. double-header in Big Spring. The series will then move to Midland on Saturday, April 18th with Howard College versus Midland College at Lady Chaps Field.
