Lady Chaps Improve to 11-4, Winning Nine of Ten to Conclude the Fall Preconference Schedule

The Midland College Lady Chaps wrapped up the fall semester, playing three games at Yuma, AZ. Midland College took on the host school Arizona Western College, in their first game of the classic, followed by games against Southwestern Community College (CA) and Central Arizona College.
The Lady Chaps suffered a 70-52 loss to Arizona Western College but bounced back to defeat SCC and CAC to improve to 11-4 on the season. After starting the season with a 2-3 record, Midland College has won nine of their last 10 contests. Over the course of the fall semester, the team has demonstrated an ability to improve their team play over time.
MC will begin the spring semester in the WJCAC opener at Odessa College on Monday, January 6th. That game is scheduled for a 5:45 tip-off at the Odessa College Sports Center. The Lady Wranglers are 9-2 on the season headed into games versus Panola College (today) and Tyler Junior College on January 3rd before the game versus the Lady Chaps.
Midland College is paced by the scoring of sophomores Toyah Montgomery at 10.9 and Dee Henderson at 10.8. Henderson's 6.9 rebounds per game lead the team, while sophomore guard Brianna Vargas posts 3.3 assists per game.
