Lady Chaps to Face #10 South Plains College in Key WJCAC Game

The Midland College Lady Chaps will hit the road for their second consecutive game when they travel to Levelland to take on #10 South Plains College. Midland College, 14-7 on the season, including 3-3 in conference will take on a very talented South Plains College team in a pivotal WJCAC tilt. SPC is 17-2 overall and 5-1 in conference.
Midland College, 1.5 games out of a playoff spot, will need to play one of their highest quality games to defeat the Lady Texans. On Thursday, the Lady Chaps suffered a narrow loss at Clarendon College by a score of 78-71. MC received strong performances from Endija Sedlina who scored 19 points in the Clarendon game followed by Riley Burd's 16 points and 10 points each by Brianna Vargas and Dee Henderson.
SPC is led by Isabel Joai who averages 13.2 points followed by Bella Belong who chips in 12.6 points per contest. Belong also pulls down 10.8 rebounds per game to lead the team in that category. The Lady Texans average 76 points per game on 41.5% FG%. They shoot 28.5% from the three-point line and 63.3% from the charity stripe. Midland College averages 73.0 ppg on 39.3% from the floor, 31% from the three-point line and 68.8% from the free throw line.
Following the game at South Plains the Lady Chaps will host Odessa College at the Al G. Langford Chaparrals Center on Thursday, February 6th @ 5:45 p.m.
