Midland College Lady Chaps Host 2025 WNIT
The Midland College women's basketball team is scheduled to host the annual WNIT. The WNIT is consistently regarded as one of the top women's basketball events in the nation and features many of the top two-year college teams in the NJCAA.

The annual Midland College WNIT is just a few days away with one of the most competitive fields in recent memory. This year the Lady Chaps will host the Paris Junior College Dragons (3-2), the #13 Salt Lake Community College Bruins (4-1), the Snow College Badgerettes of Ephraim, UT (6-1), and fellow WJCAC members Odessa College (6-3) and #11 South Plains College (5-1). Midland College enters the tournament with a 5-2 record including two wins versus nationally ranked Arizona Western College on successive weekends.

Last week the Lady Chaps hosted the Tip-Off Classic, going 2-2 over four consecutive days on the court. MC suffered losses to Central Arizona College and Lamar Community College of Colorado and recorded wins over the aforementioned Arizona Western College Matadors and versus Ranger College.
Midland College's WNIT schedule will begin on Thursday, November 20th at 7:00 p.m. versus Snow College. On Friday, MC will take on Salt Lake CC at 6:00 p.m. and the Lady Chaps will wrap up the event on Saturday, November 22nd @ 4:00 p.m. versus Paris Junior College.

Midland College has displayed very balanced offensive production over seven games led by sophomore guard Diana Szakolczi at 12.3 points per contest. Freshmen Sarah Gregory, Claudia Chessari and Aniyah Mayberry are currently averaging 9.9, 9.3 and 9.1 points per game, respectively. MC sophomore Sumaiya Ibrahim and Mayberry are the statistical leaders in rebounds at 8.3 and 6.7 per game.
The Lady Chaps are averaging 73.0 points per game while surrendering 59.0 points on defense. MC can be dominant on the boards, out-rebounding their opponents by nearly 16 per game (49.7 to 33.9).
