Lady Chaps Ride Four-Game Win Streak into WJCAC Opener at #25 Clarendon College
The Midland College Lady Chaps improved to 11-4 on the season after taking wins versus Panola and Kilgore Colleges to kick-off 2026.

The Midland College Lady Chaps extended their current win streak to four games (five wins in their last six games) after taking wins versus the Panola College Fillies and Kilgore College Rangers at the Evelyn Blalock Classic hosted by Kilgore College. Midland College improved to 11-4 after Friday's 69-64 overtime win over Panola and Saturday's 68-58 victory over Kilgore.

MC will next be in action in at #25 ranked Clarendon College in Clarendon on Monday, January 5, 2026 @ 5:45 p.m. Clarendon College is 15-1 this season. For comparison, the Lady Chaps and Bulldogs have three common opponents this season: Southwestern Christian College, Paris Junior College and Lamar Community College (CO).
Midland College defeated SwCC 76-66 on November 6th, suffered a loss against Lamar Community College 61-54 on November 13th and took down Paris JC by a score of 62-50 on November 22nd. Conversely, Clarendon recorded wins over Southwestern Christian College 94-55 on November 11th and defeated Paris JC 48-46 on November 15th. The Bulldogs split their two games against Lamar Community College, losing on November 19th 61-58 and bouncing back for a win over LCC on December 1st by a score of 61-41.
The Lady Chaps average just under 70 points per outing (69.7) and pull down an impressive 46.1 rebounds per contest over fifteen games. Clarendon College scores at an 84.0 points per game clip, along with 50.6 rebounds per game.
MC sophomore Diana Szakolczi leads the team at 15.3 points per game followed by freshman Sarah Gregory and fellow sophomore Sumaiya Ibrahim who post 8.5 and 8.3 points per game this season. Ibrahim leads MC in rebounds with 9.3 per contest. CC's scoring leaders are Armanda Sindalawa and Zainab Olalekan who score 16.3 and 11.8 points per game each. Olalekan pulls down 14.6 rebounds per game.
The Western Junior College Athletic Conference currently has three teams ranked in the NJCAA Women's Division I Basketball Top 25: #4 South Plains College, #9 New Mexico Junior College and the #25 Clarendon College Bulldogs. A win at Clarendon may bring the Lady Chaps into the national rankings conversation.
