Midland College Lady Chaps vs Odessa College Lady Wranglers

The Midland College women's basketball team understands the gravity of each game, but the bi-annual rivalry game versus Odessa College means so much more to each team.  The Lady Chaps have struggled to find their footing during the conference portion of the schedule.  They will travel to Odessa with a season record of 12-12 and a very disappointing 1-8 in the WJCAC in a season that was incredibly optimistic based on the team's early season perfomances.  

Odessa College finds themselves equally frustrated with the 2025-2026 season, sitting at 9-15 overall and 1-7 in conference.  Each team desperately needs a win in order to resurrect some degree of optimism during the second half of the WJCAC slate.  

Midland College's Diana Szakolczi, Latisha Wilson, Claudia Chessari and Sumaiya Ibrahim will need to lead the team into hostile territory at OC and in front of a vocal Lady Wrangler following.  

Note:  Tonight's game will mark the 1000th game in the storied career of MC head coach Ron Jones.  Jones, the only head coach in the history of the Lady Chaps basketball program stands at 740 wins and 259 losses (total of 999 games) over 32 years.
