ODESSA, TEXAS - Midland College had a disappointing ending to its regular season as it was swept by rival Odessa College, 25-23, 25-21, 25-23, during Saturday's Western Junior College Athletic Conference volleyball finale at OC Sports Center.
The Lady Wranglers (24-7, 10-4) secured the conference's No. 3 seed for next weekend's NJCAA Region V West Tournament in Roswell, New Mexico.
The Lady Chaps (16-10, 9-5) lost their second straight match and they will be the No. 4 seed following Frank Phillips College's 3-0 loss to New Mexico Military Institute.
MC's Julia Kabala had a double-double with 11 digs and 19 assists, Zoe Fernandez had a team-high 12 kills, Miranda Acosta and Petra Fernandez each had 10 digs and Linda Conceicao registered 10 kills.
