The MC Lady Chaps volleyball team will look to turn around their recent woes versus Clarendon College on Wednesday, September 18 at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center. Midland College, 3-7 overall, began the season by winning three of their first five matches. Recently the Lady Chaps have been mired in a five-match slide despite playing competitively versus several nationally ranked opponents.
Midland College will host their annual Pack the Chap (Center) Night with an attendance boost from the Midland College College and Career Connections (C3) program. C3 is expected to bring in 200 students for the match.
Clarendon College comes in at 16-4 on the season. Wednesday's match will be the WJCAC opener for both teams.
The match will feature two former Midland College setters as the opposing head coaches. Clarendon College is coached by Desiree Marmolejo (2nd year) and Midland College is led by Kristina Gafford (1st year).
The Lady Chaps are led by freshman OH, Iasmin Araujo (Minas Gerais, Brazil) who has recorded 71 kills this season to lead the team in that category. Sophomore Kylee Radwanski (Midland, TX) is second in kills with 57.
