MC Volleyball Heads to Amarillo for Important WJCAC Matchup with the Badgers

Midland College Lady Chaps @ Amarillo College Badgers

Fresh off a match sweep of Clarendon College, the Midland College Lady Chaps are looking for a continuation of Wednesday night's flawless play.  Midland College, 4-7 overall and 1-0 in the WJCAC, will travel to Amarillo College on Saturday, September 21st @ 2:00 p.m. for a match-up with the Amarillo College Badgers.  Amarillo College is currently 7-10 on the season and 0-1 in conference following a Wednesday night home loss to nationally ranked NMMI.  

The Amarillo College Badgers have played tough pre-conference matches including several ranked opponents.  The Badgers are led by sophomore six-foot outside hitter Kaela Neie who has recorded 248 kills (3.82 k/s).  The offense flows through freshman setter Anau Tua'one who leads the team with 360 assists thus far into the season.  Tua'one ranks among the NJCAA's Top 20 in assists.  

Midland College will need strong outings from team kills leaders Iasmin Araujo and Kylee Radwanski, 80 and 63 total kills respectively.  The emergence of Ipek Kusoglu gives the Lady Chaps a trio of offensive threats for the Badgers to contend with headed into the weekend's showdown.

The Midland College at Amarillo College match will be played at the FirstBank Southwest Center on the Amarillo College campus which is located at 2201 South Washington Street (intersection of SW 24th Avenue).
