Lady Chaps to Host Frank Phillips College in an Important Volleyball Match

The MC volleyball team will need to play another strong match when they take on Frank Phillips College in a WJCAC contest at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center in Midland.  The match is scheduled for Saturday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. in the friendly confines of the Chaparral Center. 

Midland College, 5-8 overall and 3-1 in the WJCAC, defeated Western Texas College on Wednesday night at Snyder, while the FPC Plainsmen, 7-13 overall and 3-1 in conference, defeated Clarendon College on Wednesday.  

FPC relies on the arm talent of Zuzanna Zietek, Alana Martinez Jimenez, Marina Maia and Catyn Wright.  Combined the quartet has recorded 556 kills in 2024, led by Zietek's 187 kills in 20 matches. 

Midland College's kills leaders include:  Iasmin Araujo (105), Kylee Radwanski (75), Noa Reculard (75) and Martina Frangella (68).  Lady Chap Martyna Lubowicz leads the team in assists with 285 entering Saturday's matchup with FPC.  Araujo also contributes on defense leading the team with 159 digs while Frangella is the leader with 53 total blocks in 2024.
