Midland College Lady Chaps Win WJCAC Opener at WTC, Extends Current Win Streak to Six Matches

The Midland College volleyball team opened WJCAC play on Wednesday night when they took on Western Texas College in Snyder. MC improved to 9-4 this season and 1-0 in conference with scores of 28-26, 15-25, 25-13, 25-17 (3-1). The Lady Chaps had to shake off a little rust after a week off from competition, however MC overpowered the Lady Westerners in the final two sets of the contest to record an important WJCAC win.
Midland College is currently riding a six-match win streak dating back to their August 30th match versus Navarro College at Blinn College's Kruse Kick-Off Classic in Brenham, TX.
The Lady Chaps saw outstanding performances by Luisina Sandrone, Ipek Kusoglu, Mia Bell and Jordan Eager versus Western Texas College. MC will need to play their best volleyball of the season as they focus on Saturday's match versus #4 ranked Odessa College. The match is scheduled for September 20th @ 2:00 p.m. at the Al G. Langford Chaparral Center on the Midland College campus.
Saturday's match will be Midland College Lady Chaps "Green Out Day". MC fans are asked to wear green in support of the Lady Chaps volleyball team.
