Lady Chaps Volleyball Head to Clarendon College for a Tough Road WJCAC Match-up with the Bulldogs

The Midland College volleyball team will look to continue their recent improvements when they take on Clarendon College.  The match will be played in Clarendon.  The Lady Chaps have been playing very well of late, especially against ranked opponents.  MC took #9 ranked New Mexico Military Institute to five sets on Saturday's narrow loss.   

Midland College will enter tonight's match at 10-8 overall and 2-4 in the WJCAC.  Clarendon College for their part is 21-6 on the season and 1-5 in conference.  Clarendon College's Bulldog Gymnasium will be a loud and largely inhospitable environment for the Lady Chaps.  They will need to have complete focus and get off to a strong start to quiet the crowd.

MC will be led offensively by Luisina Sandrone and Ipek Kusoglu who have posted 208 and 163 kills respectively.  The setter combo of Mia Bell and Jordan Eager are the engines for the Lady Chaps volleyball offensive machine.  Bell leads the team with 313 assists followed by Eager's 254 assists.  Defensively MC's Sandrone and Bell have recorded a total of 464 digs; 255 for Sandrone and 209 for Bell.  Zeynep Gumusay and Martina Frangella form MC's strongest blockers.  Frangella has 27 total blocks in 2025 followed by Gumusay's 23 blocks.  

The Lady Chaps will return home for a Saturday afternoon match versus Western Texas College on October 11th @ 2:00 p.m.  Saturday's match marks the beginning of the second half of WJCAC play for MC.
